Decor Is Not The WHOLE Plan!

There are so many details beyond décor when you're planning your wedding (or any event for that matter). When you start planning keep in mind that your wedding is more than swanky clothes, I Do's,  and a sit down dinner. Your wedding is a presentation of you and your spouse, your love, and your future together. 

When You Think About A Good Party You've Attended What Do You Remember ? 

Is it only the décor? NO! Sure the décor plays a part but I'm willing to bet you mostly remember the great meal, the DJ that kept the party going, and how Uncle Larry danced all night long. You think of the laughter and the good time, right? Now think about a party you went to that wasn't so great. What made you feel that way? Were people still setting up when you arrived? Was the food served late or cold? I bet when you got into your car you were thinking of all the things you could have done or how you would have been better off staying in bed? We've all been there.  

The same thing happens with weddings and here's why: the attention was on the decor and not the details of the love story or the guest experience.

Décor is 20 Percent of the Plan

Well, if décor is 20 percent of the plan, what's in the other 80 percent? Atmosphere, the concept. the timeline, the guest experience, stationary and signage, food presentation, floorplan, sound, and lighting all play a part in the overall presentation of a wedding. 

Keep in mind that the presentation doesn't start the day of the wedding, it begins with the first piece of stationary that your guests receive and actually doesn't end.

 

What Do you Mean The Presentation "Doesn't End?"

I'm glad you asked.

You AND your guests will have lasting memories of your wedding day that will be remembered one of two ways; with delight in the fact that it was filled with love, a wonderful guest experience, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere -or- "they should have just went to the courthouse". 

No one wants the latter and I don't want that for you! Recall how you felt about the party that wasn't so great...same premise.
